Musculoskeletal
complaints

If you're struggling with pain such as back pain, pelvic pain or hip pain, a women's health physiotherapist can help to look not only at the joint itself but also your pelvic health as a whole.

Women often struggle to regain core strength after pregnancy and if you think you have a diastasis this can be quickly assessed with a treatment plan provided for.

I believe every woman should get their pelvic floor area checked after giving birth, I’m very glad I went to see Katy she’s full of knowledge and very professional. She makes you feel safe and listened. I will recommend Katy to all my friends.

Tania

Very helpful in explaining where the pelvic floor muscle is and how to find it and squeeze and what to do on my own. thank you!

Naomi

Katy is a fantastic physio, and I found the postnatal check-up incredibly reassuring before returning to exercise. From the very start, I felt well supported and completely at ease, which really helped to build my confidence. Katy took the time to explain everything clearly and made it obvious that she was more than happy to answer any questions, even after the appointment. She also followed up with a detailed email containing the exercises we discussed, which has been brilliant and so helpful to refer back to. I would highly recommend Katy to anyone looking for knowledgeable, supportive postnatal care.

ABOUT

I have been working as a Physiotherapist in Women’s Health for the last number of years. Galway Maternity Hospital gave me my first opportunity to work in this speciality, where I gained valuable experience assessing common pelvic conditions and advising women on postnatal recovery. This ignited my passion for Women's Health Physiotherapy and I continued my work in the area by joining the Rotunda Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist. This role really expanded my knowledge in the management of pregnancy and pelvic floor related conditions. More recently I have returned to my native Limerick, working within the Women's Health team in the University Maternity Hospital.   I love working with women to help improve their pelvic health and get back to enjoying exercise or to be able to cope with the demands of daily life.
